ETP — Effluent Treatment Plant
An ETP is designed to treat industrial wastewater generated during manufacturing so that the treated water meets the discharge standards prescribed by the local Pollution Control Board — CPCB / SPCB / PCC. The specific process train (primary, secondary, tertiary; biological, chemical, membrane) depends on the pollutant load, the industry category and the reuse / disposal destination of the treated stream.
